Work through sign-in problems in this order: portal, password, MFA, then account activation 1 Wrong portal? learn / admin / school / parent — confirm which one your school told you to use 2 Password issue? use Forgot Password — don't guess repeatedly, that triggers a lockout 3 MFA / step-up problem? clock drift usually resyncs itself; lost device needs an admin reset 4 Account not activated yet? new accounts start Pending until the first-sign-in link is completed Still stuck? Open a support ticket under "Account & access"
Work through these four in order — each one rules out the next.

Sign-in problems almost always fall into one of four categories. Work through them in order — each one rules out the next.

1. Wrong portal

AI2N.ai has separate sign-in pages per role: learn.ai2n.ai (students), admin.ai2n.ai (school and platform administrators), and dedicated teacher/parent entry points. Signing in to the wrong one with the right credentials will fail. Confirm which portal your school told you to use.

2. Password issues

  1. Use the Forgot password link on the sign-in page — do not guess repeatedly, which can trigger a temporary lockout.
  2. Check that Caps Lock isn't on and that you're not carrying a leading/trailing space from a copy-paste.
  3. If your school issued your password, confirm it hasn't been reset since — ask your teacher or school administrator.

3. MFA / step-up problems

If your account has MFA enabled and your authenticator app shows a code that's rejected, your device's clock may have drifted — most authenticator apps resync automatically, but a manual time sync can fix a persistent mismatch. If you've lost your MFA device entirely, this requires an administrator to reset it — self-service MFA reset is intentionally not available, as it would be a security bypass.

4. Account not yet active

New accounts start in Pending status until an activation step is completed (usually a first-sign-in email link, or — for younger students — an administrator activating the account directly). If you've never successfully signed in before, this is the most likely cause.

After 5 failed attempts, most accounts lock for a short cooldown period as a brute-force protection. This is expected — wait it out rather than continuing to retry, which just extends the lockout.

Still stuck?

If none of the above resolves it, create a support ticket under "Account & access" — include the portal you're trying to sign in to and roughly when it last worked, but never your password itself.
