My Child's Account Isn't Linked
Parent/guardian accounts on AI2N.AI only see the students they're linked to. Linking is not self-service — it's set up by a school administrator or teacher from the student's record, not something a parent can request or approve from their own account.
How linking actually works
- A school or admin staff member links a guardian to a student from the student's record (Admin/School Admin → student → guardians).
- If you already have a parent account, staff can link it directly using the email on your account.
- If you don't have an account yet, staff can create one for you as part of the linking step. You'll receive an email invitation to set your password — that invite link is valid for 7 days.
- Once linked, that student's progress appears under your own portal sign-in — no separate approval step is needed on your end.
If a child isn't showing up in your account
- Confirm with your school that they've completed the linking step on their side — an unlinked student won't appear or be reachable from a parent account under any circumstances (this is enforced on every parent-facing request, not just hidden in the UI).
- If you were invited but the link has expired (older than 7 days), ask the school to resend the invitation rather than retrying the old link.
- If you believe you should be linked to a child and aren't, contact your school's front office or administrator directly — this isn't something support or self-service tools on AI2N.AI can change.
Removing a link
Unlinking a guardian from a student is also staff-only, done from the same admin screen. Contact your school if a link needs to be removed.
