Linking a Student to Your Account

Linking gives you visibility into one student's progress, results, teacher feedback and consent forms. This article covers the two supported ways to link: a school-issued linking code, or approval by your School Administrator.

Prerequisites and permissions

• A parent/guardian account at parent.ai2n.ai.
• A linking code from your school, or your school administrator's confirmation that a link request has been approved.

Steps

1. Sign in at parent.ai2n.ai and open Linked Students.
2. Select Link a Student.
3. Enter the linking code your school provided. Codes are single-use and expire after the period your school sets.
4. Confirm the student's name and school shown match who you intend to link — this prevents linking the wrong record.
5. Submit. Most schools require a one-time verification step before the link becomes active; you'll see a "Pending approval" status until then.

Verification step

The student appears under Linked Students with status "Active," and their dashboard summary (attendance, progress, recent results) is visible.

Troubleshooting

• Linking code doesn't work: codes expire — request a new one from your school.
• Status stuck on "Pending approval": your school administrator has not yet confirmed the link; contact the school office.
• Wrong student shown: do not confirm — contact your school immediately, as this indicates a code was issued for a different record.
