Error Catalogue
This selector is illustrative — there is no live public API to switch against yet. All requests/responses below use non-production example data.
API version: v1 · Status: Illustrative — pre-release
Every error response follows RFC 7807 (application/problem+json) and includes a correlationId — include it when contacting support so the exact request can be traced through the platform's logs.
| Code | Error | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| 400 | validation_error | The request body failed schema validation. Check the errors[] array for the specific field(s). |
| 401 | invalid_token | The access token is missing, expired, or malformed. Re-authenticate. |
| 403 | insufficient_scope | The token is valid but lacks the required scope for this operation. |
| 403 | insufficient_auth_strength | A privileged operation was attempted without step-up/MFA on the session. |
| 404 | not_found | The resource doesn't exist, or exists in a tenant the caller can't access — intentionally indistinguishable to avoid leaking cross-tenant existence. |
| 409 | conflict | A concurrent update changed the resource since it was last read. Re-fetch and retry with the current ETag. |
| 429 | rate_limited | Too many requests in the current window. Respect the Retry-After header. |
Versioning and deprecation
Breaking changes always ship as a new version path (e.g. /v2/...); the prior version stays available through its published deprecation window. A response using a deprecated version includes a Deprecation header naming the sunset date.
